The Saint Michel Church was built in 1865 according to plans by the architect Esquié and inaugurated on 8 May 1870.

The characteristic species of the Marais de Beaupuy et prairies humides de la Sausse include the water rail, Roman hyacinth (Bellevalia romana), milk orchid (Neotinea lactea), Dactylorhiza incarnata, and Anacamptis maxiflora.
