Geographical location

Couloumé-Mondebat consists of three clearly separate districts: Bières in the east, Couloumé in the west and Mondébat in the south. Each of these districts is approximately 3.5 km from the other two.

The municipality is crossed by the three departmental roads RD 37, RD 126 and RD 131.

Culture and history

The Château d'Arlens in Mondébat dates from the 17th century and was rebuilt in the 19th century.

The Château de Couloumé dates back to the 14th or 15th century. It was rebuilt in the 17th and 18th centuries; in 1816, it was given its current name.

The city of Istres acquired the Château de Couloumé in 1984 and turned it into a holiday centre.

The Église Saint Jean Baptiste de Couloumé dates from the 18th century.

The Chapelle Saint Étienne in Bières dates from the 17th century.

The Église Saint Barthélémy de Mondébat dates from the 12th century and was modified several times in different periods.

Nature and activities

The Poney Club des 3 Collines is located on a 40 hectare site in the countryside of the Gers.

Activities include horse care, introductory riding lessons, as well as trail rides and hikes in a 10 hectare forest.
