Culture and History

The Château de Campagne preserves the remains of a significant manor house from the 12th century, which was remodelled during the Renaissance. The feudal remains include an octagonal, crenellated keep, loopholes and a bretèche. In the 12th century, Campagne-d'Armagnac belonged to the Viscounty of Marsan and was directly subject to the King-Duke. The Château de Campagne overlooks the Douze plain.

The nave of the Église de l'Assomption probably dates from the 14th century. Campagne-d'Armagnac was once a castelnau. The Lavoir de Campagne-d'Armagnac has a round basin, a roof with flat tiles and a beautiful wooden framework supported by wooden pillars. The Château de Campagne is privately owned and is currently not open to the public.
