Culture and history
The Vierge du Thillot, also known as Notre-Dame de la Libération, commemorates the liberation of the village on 26 November 1944. It stands on a 585-metre-high summit offering a panoramic view over the valley. The Église de Le Thillot was inaugurated in October 1904 and features stained-glass windows made by the Ateliers Loire between 1947 and 1949.

The Circuit de la Vierge is an easy family trail of around four kilometres with 84 metres of positive elevation gain. The Circuit de Chaillon is an easy family trail covering 3.5 kilometres with 126 metres of positive elevation gain. The trail to the Étang de Chaillon from the church is an easy 2.5-kilometre hike lasting around one hour.
The Circuit poussette Le Thillot is a 4.4-kilometre circular trail lasting two hours and starting at the Étang de Chaume. It passes between ponds, meadows and streams and offers numerous viewpoints. The trail around the Tête des Noirs Étangs is approximately 9.1 kilometres long, takes around 3 hours and 10 minutes, has a moderate difficulty level and starts at the Hautes-Mynes visitor car park in Le Thillot. This trail includes short detours to the Source de l'Ognon and small picturesque ponds.
Active pursuits
La Voie du Tacot is a five-kilometre, easy trail for several activities, with five information panels about the historic transport link between the Vosges and Haute-Saône from 1912 onwards. The trail starts next to the Musée des Hautes-Mynes and initially follows the Voie Verte towards Remiremont. La Voie du Tacot is suitable for inline skating, cycling, pushchairs and walking away from motor traffic.
The Le Thillot trail station has 13 marked routes, ranging from beginner level to more demanding sporting difficulty levels. Circuit trail 7 – Les Hautes Mynes is a moderate trail covering 17.76 kilometres with 710 metres of elevation gain. Circuit trail 12 – Le tour des Crêtes is a difficult trail covering 30.75 kilometres with 1,250 metres of elevation gain.

The Piscine de Le Thillot – Complexe aquatique et espace bien-être features a 25-metre pool, a teaching pool, a Pentagliss slide and a paddling pool.
