Grandrupt: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Grandrupt, you will find the “Quatre-Bornes” group of four boundary markers extending across the municipalities of Grandrupt and Saales. The Quatre-Bornes consist of four boundary markers made of pink sandstone. The largest central marker may date from the Gallo-Roman period.

Culture

Another group bears the name “Bornes frontalières d'Ancien Régime en série (série de 10)”. It consists of boundary markers made of pink sandstone and is located in Grandrupt and several neighbouring municipalities. Its construction campaigns date back to 1755 and 1763. The group marks historical boundaries between the Duchy of Lorraine, France in Alsace, and the Principality of Salm.
