The nature-oriented Circuit de Zoufftgen hiking trail begins in Zoufftgen. The 12-kilometre circular route leads through the Forêt domaniale de Zoufftgen; there, the Ex voto oak bears witness to popular piety. The trail is marked with red rings, passes the Chapelle Saint Antoine and ends in front of the neo-Gothic Saint-Rémi Church, which was rebuilt in 1823.

Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Zoufftgen is thus choosing this destination.

Culture and History

The original function of the tumulus site remains uncertain. Possible interpretations include a fortification from the late La Tène period, that is, from the 1st century to 50 BC, a place of refuge, a so-called hill fort, or a sacred enclosure.

Kanonenplatz is probably considered to be the place where the cannons used by French troops during the siege of Luxembourg City in 1684 were stored.

Traditions and Events

The traditional Marche des bornes is a hike to the boundary stones with the municipality of Roeser and has existed since 1982.

The Fête de la tarte flambée usually takes place in early July.
