Sturzelbronn preserves the remains of a former Cistercian abbey, founded in the 12th century and destroyed during the French Revolution. The site includes a stone calendar described as unique in France. The Romanesque tympanum of the former Cistercian abbey church of Sturzelbronn has also been preserved.

The portal and pillory of the Sturzelbronn abbey ruins were listed as historic monuments by decree of 18 November 1987. At the former Cistercian abbey, free self-guided visits, guided tours on request, and educational visits are available; there are also signposted paths.

The GR 532 long-distance hiking trail passes through Sturzelbronn and forms part of a crossing of the Vosges massif spanning more than 400 kilometres, from Woerth to the territory of Belfort.
The “Autour des moines de Sturzelbronn” circular trail leads to the Luchsfelsen rock after approximately four kilometres. The GR 532 and the Tres Tabernae run along the shores of the Étang de l’Erbsenthal; several circular trails marked by the Club Vosgien begin at the Étang de Hanau.

The Étang de l’Erbsenthal area lies between the villages of Sturzelbronn and Éguelshardt, covers 33 hectares, and stretches for three kilometres.
