The Rocher de Dabo is a 664-metre-high pink sandstone rock offering panoramic views over the Vosges massif and the Lorraine Plateau. The Saint-Léon Chapel on the Rocher de Dabo has a bell tower that serves as a viewpoint. The Rocher de Dabo can be reached by car or on foot via hiking trails.

Nature

The mountains of Langhardtkopf, Nusskopf, Eichelkopf and Wolfsberg are located in the immediate vicinity of Dabo. The Circuit du dieu Baldur leads around the Ballerstein massif, passing distinctive rocks and sandstone cliffs.

Culture

The Château d'Ochsenstein ruins, Château du Haut-Barr castle, Château du Nideck ruins and Château des Rohan palace are located in the vicinity of Dabo.

Getting around

The Circuit VTT du Chat Noir starts in Dabo and, after an ascent of almost two kilometres, leads to a viewpoint overlooking the Rocher de Dabo from its less well-known side.

The Circuit du dieu Baldur is a walking and trail-hiking route starting from Dabo. It is a 7.9-kilometre circular route with 233 metres of elevation gain and a duration of two and a half hours.

The signposted Circuit du Rocher is a four-kilometre forest trail with a walking time of approximately one and a half hours. The Circuit du Rocher is also a walking route for exploring Dabo's natural and cultural heritage, with information panels about local traditions, fauna and flora.
