Culture and History
Les Mardis d’Uzerche is a recurring cultural programme held in summer, with free performances every Tuesday evening in July and August at 9 p.m. in Uzerche’s historic centre. The annual multidisciplinary programme includes street art, circus, theatre, puppet theatre, dance and music.
The old town of Uzerche, located within the city walls, forms an architectural ensemble of towers and turrets. Porte Bécharie is the only surviving gate of Uzerche’s former fortifications, which comprised nine gates. The Abbatiale Saint-Pierre d’Uzerche is an important example of Limousin Romanesque architecture.
The Maison à pans de bois in Uzerche is one of the few surviving examples of this type of 16th-century construction. The Graffeterie in the Papeterie district is entirely dedicated to street art.
Paths and Discoveries
The Simone de Beauvoir trail features panels about the author’s life and work and leads through a green setting. The Heritage Trail in Uzerche is a circular walk lasting between one and one and a half hours.

L’Alchimiste offers guided glassblowing demonstrations during which several pieces are made in front of visitors and the various blowing techniques are explained.
Water
The Vézère Passion centre is about a ten-minute walk from Uzerche town centre. At the Vézère Passion leisure facility, canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards can be rented for use on calm water.
