The Église Saint-Martial in Saint-Martial-de-Gimel dates back to the 12th century. It features a triumphal arch, a capital with an abacus, and small chapels. The church also contains two unidentified busts referred to as Saint Cosmas and Saint Damian. They date from the late 17th century and were listed as protected objects on 13 February 1998.

Nature
The Salabert flows through Saint-Martial-de-Gimel. The landscape includes the Vallée de la Montane vers Gimel, which is designated as a type 2 ZNIEFF and covers 1.2 % of the municipal area of Saint-Martial-de-Gimel. The valley features a great variety of ferns, including almost ten remarkable species as well as very rare hybrids of the genus Asplenium. Below the Gimel waterfalls, the Vallée de la Montane vers Gimel is deeply incised.
Hiking
The Sentier de Saint-Agnol is designated as an easy hike with a duration of approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. The trail is marked in blue and is included in the PDIPR trail network. It starts at the church, passes through several hamlets, including Saint-Agnol, and runs through a grassy valley with beautiful panoramas.
