The “Ayen ô temps jadis” circular route leads to Ayen-Bas, which used to be the centre of the village, as well as to the Château de la Chabroulie and the Hôtel noble de Razat.

Culture and history
The original church in Ayen-Bas had a Romanesque lower section and an upper section dating from the 14th century. The six enfeus were reinstalled around the new parish church after the demolition of the parish church of Ayen-Bas in 1894. Ayen church can be visited on a self-guided tour.
Active pursuits
Four hiking routes start from Ayen. In addition, there is a 45-kilometre multi-activity circuit that can be completed on horseback, by mountain bike or on foot over two or three days.
Nature
The Arboretum de La Tuillière covers 8.5 hectares and presents a signposted collection of 1,500 tree and shrub species. It can be visited free of charge on a self-guided tour.
The Route des Puys allows visitors to approach the Ayen viewpoint by vehicle.

Ayen is 20 minutes from the A20 and A89 motorways and 30 minutes from Brive–Vallée de la Dordogne Airport.
