The municipality of La Boissière is home to Au Pays des Carrioles, a leisure park set in a very shady natural forest. Activities involving soapbox carts are offered there. For visitors over 16 and adults, the park also offers rides on environmentally friendly mini-motorbikes, drift trikes and mini-quads.
Those travelling to La Boissière may wish to rent a holiday apartment.
Nature
The Arboussas forest massif, which borders La Boissière, consists of holm oaks. The Boucle Cyclo No. 2 also passes through varied landscapes: the 22.7 km circular cycling route is considered very easy. Between Saint-Paul-et-Valmalle and La Boissière, it runs along the banks of the Coulazou stream.
The section of the Boucle Cyclo No. 2 from La Boissière to Argelliers passes through garrigue and vineyards along roads lined with oaks and rocks.
Trails
The 43 km GR®653 connects Montpellier with Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert and passes through the village of La Boissière. Along this route, you can stop for a break at Lac de La Boissière; the lake provides a peaceful setting for this.
Culture
In the village of La Boissière, you can discover the Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague chapel. The origins of the Church of Saint-Martin de Valras may date back to before the Carolingian period. Its square-ended chancel, bounded by four pillars, displays all the features of the foundation of a pre-Romanesque church.
Farm
Les Cochons des Agriolles raises farm pigs using traditional methods without genetic engineering, antibiotics, growth promoters or artificial insemination. On request, the farm offers guided tours of the farm or business. It also offers products made and processed on the farm without added colourings, preservatives or other additives.
