Culture

The Chapelle de La Liquière is dedicated to Saint Joseph. Its single-nave design features a vault made of terracotta tiles, probably added at a later date. The original furnishings include, among other things, a chalice made by the Béziers goldsmith André Tudier at the end of the 18th century.

The mills of Lenthéric are a rare example of a double mill combining water and wind power.

The route to the Voie Romaine leads to an ancient road whose wheel tracks are still clearly visible. It connected Béziers with Cahors and was called Draye at Aigues-Vives.

Nature

The hiking trail to Pic de la Coquillade passes through the hamlet of La Borie Nouvelle. Its stone houses lie in a holm oak forest and offer views across the Béziers plain to the sea.

The hike to Pic de la Coquillade also follows paths beneath holm oaks and offers views of the Béziers plain, the Orb Valley and the Caroux Plateau.

The Chapelle de Montcèze is a small chapel situated on a hill above the village. From there, beautiful views extend over the vineyards and the plain.

Around 10,000 years ago, a meteorite struck a hill in southern France. Today, the vines of Domaine du Météore grow within and around the crater created by the impact.
