Culture and History
The Château de la Condamine is an 18th-century château with a square 13th-century keep. Since 2006, it has been partially protected as a historic monument.

The earliest documented mention of Saint-Hippolyte-de-Caton dates from 1295 and refers to the place as “Villa Sancti Yppoliti de Catone”. The Temple of Saint-Hippolyte-de-Caton stands on the remains of a 14th-century church that was destroyed in the 18th century. A Neolithic settlement on the Costas is indicated by arrowheads, drills and flakes of worked stone. The former windmill was built in 1802 by the d’Hombres family.

Nature and Landscape
At the foot of the Serre de Caton lies a thermal spring called “La Minérale”. The type II ZNIEFF “Plateau de Lussan et Massifs Boisés” covers 65 hectares in Saint-Hippolyte-de-Caton.
In the vicinity of Saint-Hippolyte-de-Caton are Mont Bouquet, the Château d'Allègre ruins, and the peaks of St Germain de Montaigu, Serre d'Avène and Gautefrache.
