Landscape
Saint-Hilaire-d'Ozilhan lies at the foot of the garrigue, between vineyards and olive groves. The village is dominated by the ruins of the medieval Castelas. Its enclosure has been preserved as a still recognisable quadrilateral, and a corner tower remains.

Culture and history
The Chapelle Saint-Étienne is a pre-Romanesque building that was remodelled in the 12th century. It contains building material from the concretions of the ancient aqueduct of Nîmes; it also features medieval graffiti.
An ordinance issued in 1441 allowed the inhabitants to reuse materials from the fortifications to build the present-day château in the plain. The village landscape also includes the lavoir with two cylindrical water tanks and a central washbasin, connected by a small supply channel.
The former village church now serves as a multifunctional cultural venue.
Paths and village life
The local paths in Saint-Hilaire-d'Ozilhan include the GR 63, which connects Avignon with the Cévennes. On the Chemin Urbain V route, the path in Saint-Hilaire-d'Ozilhan leads from Rue des Remparts to Rue de la Vieille-Église and onwards to the Mairie signpost.
Numerous paths lined with mission crosses through the garrigue and vineyards can be used on foot, on horseback, by carriage or by mountain bike. A small market is held every Tuesday morning on Place du Jeu de Boules.
