The Église Saint-Saturnin de Fons-Outre-Gardon was burned down in 1703 during the Camisard rebellion and remodelled in 1850. Its floor plan is in the shape of a Latin cross, with a single-nave church and a projecting transept. According to bibliographic sources, the Église Saint-Saturnin de Fons-Outre-Gardon was founded in the 12th century.
Hiking
The Le Vallon de Robiac trail is a moderately difficult 12.6-kilometre circular hike with a stated duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes. It starts and ends in Fons-Outre-Gardon, passes through the Vallon de Roubiac and crosses the heights of the Massif des Lens. The protected natural area combines vineyards and garrigue.
Cycling
The Le Bois des Lens mountain-bike route passes through Fons as part of a route through seven municipalities: Combas, Crespian, Montmirat, Saint-Mamert-du-Gard, Fons, Moulézan and Vic-le-Fesq. The route passes through a garrigue landscape and offers views of the Cévennes, Pic Saint-Loup and, in clear weather, Mont Ventoux. It is a difficult, 25.1-kilometre circular route with yellow markings and signposts.
Festivals and wine
The Fête votive in Fons-Outre-Gardon takes place from 27 to 30 August 2026 as a four-day traditional festival with free admission, inviting visitors to rediscover Camargue traditions. The 2026 Fête votive includes, among other events, an Abrivado-Bandido event on 29 August.
The Fons'tivales offer opportunities to meet winemakers and taste local wines from the Gard IGP designations IGP Cévennes, IGP Gard and Coteaux Pont du Gard.
