Culture and history
The Écluse de Trèbes, a triple lock, is located on the Canal du Midi within the municipality of Trèbes. The Pont aqueduc de Vauban carries the Canal du Midi over the Orbiel River; its construction is attributed to Vauban. The Pont de la Rode is one of the few bridges built by Riquet that have not been rebuilt. From Trèbes, it can be reached after 1,500 metres along the towpath upstream.
The Église Saint-Étienne, a church in the southern French Gothic style dating from the late 13th century, is part of the town's history. It has 320 painted oak carved corbels from the 14th century that support the roof structure. Due to renovation work, the Église Saint-Étienne is currently closed to the public and can only be viewed from the outside.
Exploring the town
The Ruelles du Vieux Village walking tour uses 28 old photographs displayed in the streets of Trèbes. A detailed accompanying booklet with information about each photograph can be downloaded via QR codes.

Cycling
The Canal à vélo Trèbes–Marseillette cycling route is 9.8 kilometres long and classified as moderately difficult. There is a free water station for bicycles at the Port de Trèbes.
