In Plavilla stand the remains of the Church of Saint-Julien and Sainte-Basilisse de l’Espinoux, which were listed as a historic monument by decree of 14 April 1948.

Culture and History

The main construction phase of the church ruins of Espinoux dates back to the 12th century. Fragments of the former interior frescoes have been preserved in the remains of the church.

The present-day Church of Saint-André in Plavilla was dedicated to Saint Andrew in 1864. It has a wall bell tower with a triangular top and replaced an earlier church dedicated to Saint Saturninus.

The Chemin de Photos exhibition in Plavilla is renewed annually. In addition, the information boards along the Chemin du patrimoine provide information about the former grain mill, the church and the farrier’s workshop.
