La Digne-d'Aval is an old ecclesiastical village that has preserved its original form. The village's double ring of houses forms a circulade. The parish district connected to the central church dates back to the 11th century. Above the church entrance, a statue of Saint James stands in a niche. The cemetery cross also has distinctive features: its shaft is octagonal, and the capital is decorated with four statuettes – Saint John, Saint Lawrence, a bishop and an evangelist.

Trails and landscape
The local hiking trail is 4 km long, takes 2 hours and 30 minutes, has an elevation difference of 140 m and is marked with yellow lines. A path through vineyards and oak forests leads to the Sentier des cimes; from there, you can look out over the landscape and the surrounding villages.
The Chemin des Artistes begins at the church and runs along Rue des Fécos and Rue Saint Pons. During a walk through the countryside, it showcases works by local artists and by schoolchildren, made from wood, iron and ceramics.
The Circuit du Vignoble de la Vallée du Cougaing begins at the stadium car park in La Digne-d'Aval, where there is an information board. The circular route runs through vineyards, garrigue and holm oak forests.
