Embres-et-Castelmaure: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
In Embres-et-Castelmaure, a significant spring, or rather a powerful resurgence of water, emerges at the Les Canelles spring at the exit of a narrow gorge beneath jagged rocks. The La Sauveille route begins beside the town hall in Embres-et-Castelmaure and is a 7.3-kilometre yellow-marked PR trail. It follows the shaded course of the Grave, crosses the stream at a ford and leads back to the village. During a section along the ridge, it offers views of the Corbières range and the village. The route also includes a 20-minute round trip to the Les Canelles spring, with an equipped picnic area.

Culture
The Atelier de la Source on the Route des Canelles in Embres-et-Castelmaure is a ceramics and sculpture workshop. It can be visited by prior appointment.
The Church of Saint-Félix stands at the foot of the significant ruins of the castle and the abandoned village of Castelmaure. It has a single-nave church with four bays, a transept and a semicircular apse, and was built in the 11th century under the influence of Lombard masons. The small Church of Saint-Étienne is a village church; its roof collapsed in 1933 after being struck by lightning and was subsequently poorly restored.
The Notre-Dame de l’Olive Chapel is thought to date from the period between the 8th and 11th centuries and has always been a place of pilgrimage. Its religious celebration, held annually on 8 September, is connected with the request for rain during the grape harvest. The Circuit des Cols et des Chapelles circular trail passes this chapel and continues to Castelmaure with the Saint-Félix Chapel. Visitors can taste wine at the SCV Castelmaure wine cellar.
Cycling
The VTT area of the Contrée de Durban-Corbières comprises a marked network of 212 kilometres of trails extending across 14 municipalities; the route from Embres-et-Castelmaure belongs to this regional network. The Circuit des Cols et des Chapelles is a difficult, black-marked, 31.6-kilometre mountain-bike circuit starting in Embres-et-Castelmaure. The Col de Bent in Embres-et-Castelmaure is designated as a viewpoint along the route.
The circular trail from Castelmaure climbs to a ridge with views of the surrounding rocky basin and the nearby peaks of the Corbières. The VTT-FFC area of the Contrée de Durban-Corbières also uses part of the Sentier Cathare; some sections are considered very technical and physically demanding.
