The Château d’Arques stands on an isolated hill a few hundred metres west of the village of Arques. It has been classified as a historic monument since 16 August 1887. The complex has a quadrangular surrounding wall with a Gothic gate, as well as an almost perfectly preserved 24-metre-high keep with four turrets. Gilles de Voisins began building the Château d’Arques as a castle residence in 1280.
