History and Culture
The Basilique Saint-Denys in Argenteuil is a 19th-century Romanesque Revival basilica designed by Théodore Ballu; its bell tower is 57 metres high. The basilica is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., admission is free, and it offers individual self-guided visits at any time as well as guided tours on request.
The remains of the Notre-Dame Abbey in Argenteuil include a crypt, a chapter house, a cloister and a necropolis uncovered through archaeological excavations.
