Culture
Foulain already existed as a village in the 12th century. The lordship of Foulain originally depended on the Vignory family or house. In the 15th century, it belonged to the Choiseul family and later to the barony of Sexfontaines. Foulain had a large presbytery that served as a residence for clergy from other villages before the 17th century.
The Église Saint-Clément de Foulain has an elongated layout with a nave and a southern aisle with five rib-vaulted bays. The bases of the central pillars date from the 13th century. The choir has a rib-vaulted bay and a flat end wall pierced by a three-window arrangement.
