The Musée Verlaine offers a guided tour with commentary, featuring a unique iconographic collection and the poet’s complete works. The former Auberge du Lion d’Or became a museum open to the public in 1994 after two decades of work.

History

The Moulin de la CAJ is a former grain mill powered by a water turbine supplied by the Retourne. After being damaged during the First World War, the Moulin de la CAJ was rebuilt in 1929. It is open exclusively during the European Heritage Days in September.

The interpretation trail “Jour de foire en compagnie de Verlaine” runs along the La Retourne River and near the village church.

Local life

La Ferme des P'tits Gourmands produces organic pasta, organic flours and organic oils and is also a shop for local products. Les pommes de terre de la Retourne sells potatoes directly to private customers from a quantity of 1 kg.

At the entrance to Juniville, there is a fishing pond at the Moulin de la Chut. At the Moulin de la Chut, the restaurant offers an enjoyable meal indoors or on the terrace.
