Seillac: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The choir of Saint-Jacques Church contains a painted stone statue of Saint James the Greater dating from the 15th century. The statue was classified as a protected historic object on 11 March 1997.

Culture

Saint-Jacques is a rural 12th-century church with a wooden porch. It has an arcade bell tower with two sound openings. The church initially belonged to Bourgmoyen Abbey before passing into the possession of Pontlevoy Abbey in 1227.

The château in Seillac preserves a 17th-century building. The Domaine de Seillac is now operated as a holiday village with a pond, a 24-hectare park and 60 chalets. The estate and its château are visible from the road.

Nature

A second marked hiking trail starts in Seillac and leads around the Bois de la Renaudière. The route is 2 kilometres long and takes around 45 minutes.

The Les bois de Seillac route is a 7.8-kilometre circular trail marked by FFRandonnée 41. The Circuit des Bois runs across a plateau, alternating between wooded sections and open farmland.

During the school holidays, as well as on Ascension Day and Pentecost, the Ferme pédagogique de Prunay offers free activities, including bread baking and donkey hikes.
