Saint-Rimay: Apartments and Holiday Homes
The historic W3 hike is a 6.5 km guided walking tour that begins at the Saint-Rimay Tunnel. It also passes through Le Gondré, where there is a spring catchment and pumping station set up by the Germans to supply the W3 site.

History
Construction work on the German W3 headquarters in Saint-Rimay began in July 1942 and ended in August 1943. The W3 complex in Saint-Rimay includes two large bunkers, a power station, a telephone exchange, anti-aircraft positions, shelters, wells, cisterns and blast walls.
The telephone exchange of the W3 complex measured 42 × 12.6 m and was connected to Le Mans, Orléans, Tours and Berlin.

The W3 hike can also be completed by mountain bike or in your own car. A flashlight and hiking boots are recommended for visiting the W3 site.
A temporary diversion of the Vallée du Loir à vélo – V47 begins at the hamlet of Piquant in Saint-Rimay.
