Lunay can be explored via its paths, waterways and historic buildings. The 14 km hiking trail “Circuit des Vallées” starts in Lunay and leads through a landscape of panoramic views, slopes above the valleys and wooded valleys. The 14 km cycle trail “Circuit des vallées” also starts in Lunay.

Nature

The “Henri LHUILLIER” leisure centre includes a 4-hectare pond set in a landscape of slopes and valleys. On the grounds, among old trees, stands an Atlas cedar planted around 1840.

Activities

The “Henri LHUILLIER” leisure centre offers fishing at three fishing spots that are accessible to people with disabilities and easy for children to reach. Two planned riding trails for riders and horse-drawn carriages, called “Entre Loir et Braye… à cheval, la nature retrouvée”, are available.

Those choosing Lunay as a holiday destination may want to rent a holiday apartment.

Culture

In the Église Saint-Martin de Lunay, a painting of the Last Supper created in the 19th century extends across the entire vault of the choir. The lower level of the bell tower probably dates from the 12th century; the church also has a richly decorated west portal.

The cemetery chapel also preserves a remarkable feature: its altarpiece has pilasters with Renaissance capitals and a sculpted frieze on the entablature. At the Château de la Mézière, the grounds can be visited independently. Guided tours there are offered exclusively for groups.

In the village of Lunay, there are numerous wine and mushroom cellars that can be visited.
