Culture and History
The Church of Saint Martin in Collemiers is dedicated to Saint Martin. Construction began in the 12th century; the choir and apse date from the 13th century, while the nave was remodelled in the first third of the 16th century. The church contains a stained-glass window dating from around 1530 depicting Calvary, also known as the Crucifixion, which is attributed to the model by Jean Cousin. During restoration in 1916, a round medallion probably depicting the Charity of Saint Martin was inserted into the base area. The church bell Marie-Toussainte was baptised on 1 August 1695.
The history of the village also includes several memorial sites associated with André Malraux and a group of prisoners. The Maison du Général at 6, rue Haute housed André Malraux and ten companions during his imprisonment in Collemiers in 1940. In the summer of 1940, André Malraux transformed a house used as prisoner accommodation in Collemiers into a centre for reflection; according to a local eyewitness account, it was called Maison des Dix. The Place des Dix commemorates the group of ten prisoners who shared their wartime experience in Collemiers.
Villa Henri is a large residential house built towards the end of the 19th century on the initiative of the Parisian florist Henri Chénier.

The Musées de Sens museum is located in the surroundings of Collemiers. Also located there are the Cathédrale Saint-Étienne de Sens, listed as a historic site, the Abbaye de Saint-Jean-lès-Sens, listed as a historic site, and the Ancienne Abbaye Saint-Pierre-le-Vif, listed as a historic site. The Haut des Beautés, listed as a hill, is also located in the surroundings of Collemiers.
