Culture and history
Châtin features prehistoric and ancient remains, including the Roche de Remoillon. The Pierre de Remoillon can be visited. According to the traditional account, it turns three times on its base every day around noon.
The Croix des Chasseurs in Châtin is 13.50 metres high. The former parish church of Saint-Pierre et Saint-Marc dates from the 11th century. A capital from this former church is now embedded in the wall of a residential building in Châtin; it was found at the church’s former site.
The Lavoir de Châtin is a granite washhouse dating from the mid-19th century and is located on the village road.

The Château-Chinon Circuit n° 13 passes through Châtin. The route is a 25.8-kilometre mountain-bike loop and a difficult mountain-bike trail.

Châtin belongs to the Morvan ouest: secteur de Pannecière area. The western Morvan in this area is heavily forested, with agricultural bocage landscapes in between.
In the wider region around Châtin lie the Saut de Gouloux waterfall, Mont Preneley mountain, Mont Genièvre mountain and the Morvan Regional Nature Park.
