Seurre is home to the present-day Gothic Church of Saint Martin, whose origins date back to the late 13th or early 14th century. Its carillon now consists of 47 bells; the church also has a six-metre stained-glass rose window.

A visit to the Hôtel-Dieu offers insights into hospital life in the 17th and 18th centuries through several listed historic rooms with period furnishings. The Hôtel-Dieu pharmacy has wood-panelled fittings and around 100 faience vessels that were used to prepare medicines.

The Musée de la Saône et des Gens de la Saône presents the archaeology of the Val de Saône from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages. It also documents the history of inland navigation on the Saône and the daily lives of the families who lived on board.

The Musée de plein air de l’Étang Rouge comprises around 15 reconstructed residential and agricultural buildings dating from the 17th to the 19th century. In its orchard and heritage vineyards, it preserves more than 150 old fruit varieties. The museum also offers an outdoor geocaching investigation game for visitors aged 12 and over.

The Jacquemart trail uses 12 information panels to introduce Seurre’s noteworthy buildings and sites, and is accessible all year round.

Nature

The Sentier de l’écluse runs along the Saône and offers opportunities to observe herons. The trail can be walked all year round, except during periods when the Saône is in flood.

The Sentier Anne-Marie Javouhey passes through villages, fields and some woodland.

In the Rives de Saône area, TER trains carry bicycles free of charge and without a reservation, provided that space is available; the stations served include Seurre.
