Saint-Pandelon: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Landscape

The Chemin pédestre is a 2.7-kilometre circular trail. It begins in the centre of Saint-Pandelon, opposite the car park of the sports hall. There is a furnished picnic area along the trail beneath oak trees.

Culture and history

The foundation stone of the present-day Saint-Barthélemy Church was laid on 7 November 1901. It was blessed and opened for worship on 22 March 1903. The building is in the neo-medieval style and has three naves. The church houses a painting of Saint Bartholomew that was transferred from the former church in 1904.

The Ancien château des Evêques in Saint-Pandelon is partly listed as a Monument historique. The Château d'Hercular dates from the 13th or 14th century and has two cylindrical corner towers with domed roofs. The Château d'Haubardin dates from the 17th or 18th century, while the Château Lauretta is distinguished by its 18th-century wood panelling.

The Château des Evêques de Dax has been designated a classified site since 22 August 1973. It was built at the beginning of the 14th century as a country residence for the bishops of Dax.

Trails

Saint-Pandelon is a stop on the Way of St James, the Voie de Tours. The Saint-Paul-lès-Dax–Saint-Pandelon stage on the Voie de Tours is 17.3 kilometres long. Saint-Pandelon has accommodation that can host up to six pilgrims at the same time.

Local life

The Domaine Array dou Sou reopened in July 2025 after two years of work and hosts private or cultural events.
