Getting around
Castillon-la-Bataille is served by SNCF TER line 33 on the Bordeaux–Bergerac–Sarlat route. TransGironde line 316 connects Castillon-la-Bataille with Libourne and Pellegrue.

Wine and gastronomy
Château Chainchon produces organically produced wines with the Bordeaux and Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux AOC designations. The local cuisine of Castillon-la-Bataille includes fish from the Dordogne such as lamprey, glass eels and shad; the wines of the Côtes de Castillon are a good accompaniment.
