Culture
The ruins of the Ortenbourg and Ramstein castles in Scherwiller are classified as historic monuments. The Château de l’Ortenbourg was built around 1262. The neo-Gothic Chapelle du Taennelkreuz dates from 1906 and offers panoramic views over the plain.
The Aubach has been a protected classified site since 1969 and is lined with almost 70 washhouses. Every year in Scherwiller, the Spectacle des Lavandières takes place on the banks of the Aubach. The Corps de Garde was built in 1670.

Nature
The Massif de l'Ortenbourg, crossed by the circular trail, is protected under a biotope protection order because of its remarkable fauna and flora.
Trails
The Sentier Viticole is a signposted trail through the vineyards, 2 or 6 kilometres long, offering views of the Ortenbourg and Haut-Koenigsbourg castles. The Sentier des murailles et des vignes has five interpretation panels and runs for 7.8 kilometres between stone and vines.
The Sentier viticole de Scherwiller has information panels and an orientation board. In July and August, it offers guided tours with winegrowers from the village.
The Circuit de l'Ortenbourg et du Ramstein partly follows the GR5 and starts from the car park at the Hühnelmühle.
The Château du Ramstein remains closed to visitors for safety reasons; a construction-site tour is occasionally possible during the European Heritage Days.
