Umbsaare offers several different facets of a journey: in the western part of the Umbsaare map, flatter pine-covered uplands alternate with moorlands. At the same time, this is home to an urban-adjacent core area of the ecological network, consisting predominantly of state forest. The city centre of Võru provides another point of contrast. Its distinctive street network and low wooden houses can be explored on a longer walk. This creates a clear juxtaposition: on one side are pine forests, moorlands and state forest; on the other is Võru’s finely detailed urban landscape. Practical Orientation on Site

At the Umbsaare disc golf park, the car park is located in front of the large course map; the first tee is behind the flower garden. This sequence is helpful for finding your way around on site. The Umbsaare waste centre is also part of the locality’s practical context: it is one of the two public waste stations in the city of Võru.

The Liblikaaed butterfly garden has since ceased operating and should therefore not be planned as a current excursion destination.
