In Nørager, the two heart trails are clearly distinguished by their length: both start and finish at Byparken, but one is 3 km long and the other 6.1 km. Nearby, you’ll also find a varied forest landscape and the Kig Ind cultural and community centre. This lets you include exercise, nature and culture in your holiday plans without all your outings having the same character.

Heart Trails with a Shared Starting Point

The Nørager Hjertesti – Kort is 3 km long and passes through forest, nature and areas on the edge of town. This cultural-historical route runs through Sortebakke Skoven, past a forest lake and on to Grynderupvejen. Forest, water and the area on the edge of town define this shorter route.

The Nørager Hjertesti – Lang is 6.1 km long and also starts and finishes at Byparken. It takes a varied route through forest, nature and areas on the edge of town; Nørager is associated with history, forest and farmland. The two routes therefore share their starting and finishing point but differ in length.

If you prefer a shorter or longer distance for an outing, the 3 km and 6.1 km routes provide a clear guide. Before setting out, it’s worth checking local path conditions and current waymarkers.

Hilly Forest Landscape Near Nørager

Near Nørager, Nørager Skov lies on the edge of a terminal moraine ridge. Its hilly terrain includes wooded hilltops, steep slopes, unvegetated ravines and open valleys. The forest was established as a recreational forest and nature area, intended to serve Nørager as a nearby woodland. Its landscape is therefore quite different from the places and facilities directly in Nørager.

Nørager Skov has paths, car parks, tables and benches, as well as a shelter with a barbecue area. The forest also includes a 7-hectare dog forest, and areas for free camping are designated. If you plan to make use of these facilities, check local conditions and rules before your visit.
