The town’s defining natural area is Hadbjerg Skov. The forest covers 50,000 m² and contains more than 30,000 trees. It is designed as a deciduous forest and includes an orchard as well as a picnic shelter, a pond, a stream, shelter sites and a dog forest. This makes it possible to combine different interests: you can plan a quiet break, explore the forest or spend time there with your dog. Hadbjerg Skov can be accessed via Smedebakken 30 or Højvangsvej 16 in Hadbjerg.

Shelterplads Hadbjerg Skov offers a special opportunity for a longer break in nature. It includes three shelters, a fire pit and space for a total of nine guests. The site is centrally located in the forest on a hill and offers views across the fields and the surrounding landscape.

Village Pond and Folk Forest

Hadbjerg Søpark also has its own distinctive character. The modern village pond features a picnic shelter and a fire pit. With Nature Bingo, visitors can explore Hadbjerg Skov and Hadbjerg Søpark. The Folk Forest is also located between Hadsten and Hadbjerg. It covers 5 hectares and is accessible to walkers through gates in the fence. Church and Memorial Stone in Hadbjerg

Hadbjerg Church stands on the outskirts of the town. From there, you can enjoy views across the fields to the east. The church building has a Romanesque nave and a Romanesque chancel made of granite blocks. When planning your visit, note that Hadbjerg Church is not open on weekdays. However, a visit can be arranged with the cemetery staff. This allows you to plan a cultural visit specifically rather than treating it as a spontaneous sightseeing stop.

The Hadbjerg Reunification Stone stands in front of the entrance to Hadbjerg Cemetery. The top of the stone is decorated with a crown, and below it with the monogram of King Christian X. Lines from Henrik Pontoppidan’s reunification song are inscribed within a wreath. Several years after a reunification stone was erected in Ødum on 15 August 1920, citizens in Hadbjerg decided to erect a memorial stone for reunification as well. The site thus complements the natural attractions with a tangible piece of remembrance culture.
