A hiking route following the Vyšší Brod–Rožmberk–Rybník itinerary leads via Kraví hora and Lachovice. On the way to Lachovice, you can observe bison at the Agrowald company’s breeding facility. A detour to Lachovice also offers the opportunity to see several wooden statues created during a woodcarving symposium.
Nature and Trails
There are three mountains in the vicinity of Lachovice: Aubühel, Sternstein and Hirschenstein. The path to the bison enclosure passes several stations of the Lachovice Way of the Cross. One station of the Lachovice Way of the Cross is located at the bison enclosure, where seating is available.
Culture and History
Lachovice is mentioned in the 1278 Czech land register as one of the places that paid the Vyšší Brod Monastery a reduced payment in kind.
