Trebotovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Třebotovice represents a remarkable example of a high medieval planned settlement village: the settlement lies between the layout forms of valley villages and green villages. At the same time, the village has a high degree of ecological stability and a high level of preservation of the landscape character of a harmonious cultural landscape.

History and Village Character

Třebotovice was first mentioned in written records in 1378. The village’s distinctive structure, occupying an intermediate position between a valley village and a green village, defines the historic character of the place.

Landscape and Watercourses

At the center of the settlement stands the 25-meter-high winter lime tree Lípa v Třebotovicích next to the chapel in front of the former school. The Dobrovodský potok rises southeast of Třebotovice. After the Malše, it is the largest right-bank tributary of the Vltava in the territory of the city of České Budějovice.

Part of the Lusný pond, located on a right-bank tributary of the Dobrovodský potok, also lies in the Třebotovice area.

Walking and Hiking Trails

In the immediate vicinity, a red-marked walking trail leads from the Dobrá Voda–Točna stop to the České Švýcarsko water reservoir. Along the trail, eight information boards provide information about the stream and its immediate surroundings.

The hiking route from Třebotovice to Srubec is 6.7 kilometers long and leads across an open meadow and then into the forest. From Třebotovice to Dobrá Voda, a forest path runs along the stream. Another hiking route leads from Třebotovice via unmarked paths through Zborov to the Srubec, Na Štětkách terminus.

Accessibility

The village of Třebotovice can be reached by public transport from the road heading toward Zaliny and Ledenice.
