Sebanov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Šebanov combines a historic, loosely structured settlement pattern with a lens-shaped village green, a village pond and a detached chapel. The area is considered architecturally valuable.

Culture and History

The niche chapel of Cipín is located in the Šebanov district of Hořice na Šumavě. Cipín is a vanished village. The chapel in Šebanov dates from the Classicist period, was restored by 2025 and is a plastered masonry building with a rectangular floor plan and a base.

The historic centre of Hořice na Šumavě is designated as an urban heritage conservation zone. The former mill is also part of Šebanov’s history: it was originally a hammer mill and was later supplemented with a grain mill. It disappeared when the road was expanded.

Hiking Trails

The Czech Tourist Club’s green-marked hiking trail connects Hořice na Šumavě with Šebanov and Světlík. The west-south hiking route from Šebanov via Světlýk rozc., Slavkov, Kaliště, Jezvinec, Malotín and Dubík to Český Krumlov is 22 km long. For this west-south hike, the journey to Šebanov is made by train.

The hiking route “Around Světlík (Kirchschlag) and Hořice (Höritz)” follows a green-marked trail downhill to Šebanov (Schöbersdorf). On the way to Šebanov, it offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

Geographical Location

Railway line no. 194 České Budějovice–Nové Údolí runs along the northwestern edge of Šebanov.
