Výheň: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Výheň combines a distinctive cultural history with tangible traces in the landscape. The Netřebice–Výheň section of the horse-drawn railway Koněspřežní dráha is part of the national cultural monument Koněspřežní dráha.

Culture and History

Josef Jílek, an important native son of Výheň, is closely connected with the history of the village. The priest participated in the anti-fascist resistance, produced forged baptism certificates, and helped forge residence registrations and deregistrations. In doing so, he saved the lives of numerous people. On 20 April 1945, Josef Jílek was executed by guillotine in Brandenburg prison. In 1995, he was posthumously awarded the state decoration “Za zásluhy”, First Class, by the President of the Czech Republic.

Historical memories are also present in the village landscape in other places: in Výheň, there is a wayside cross with a monument. A stone culvert at the Výheň ČD railway stop also recalls an earlier era.

Water and Trails

The Malše 3 P trout fishing area begins at the Larsen weir by the former Caisův mlýn mill in the Výheň cadastral area and runs to the Plachův weir in the Malče cadastral area. The name of the watercourse explicitly preserves the reference to the former Caisův mlýn mill.

The blue “Path of Resistance” trail connects the memorials to the victims of the Second World War in Omlenice and Výheň. Route 1198 runs through Kaplice, Pořešín, Rozpoutí, Výheň, Dlouhá, Velešín, Římov, and Kamenný Újezd.

Landscape

Several destinations classified as mountains lie in the wider regional surroundings of Výheň: Zaječí Mountain, Borovanský vrch Mountain [Borovany-Dvorec u Třebče], Kleť Mountain, and Trosky Mountain. Rosenhof Castle is also located in the wider regional surroundings of Výheň.
