Vidice: Holiday Apartments and Houses

Vidice is situated along the road connecting Horšovský Týn with Bor u Tachova. The village combines a distinctive landscape in the Sedmihoří Nature Park with a historic pilgrimage church.

Church and Pilgrimage

The Church of St. Apollonia was probably built in the 17th century as a Baroque pilgrimage church. It stands north of Vidice in the fields along the road to Bernartice and contains furnishings dating from the second half of the 17th century and the first half of the 18th century. Its façade and roof covering were restored in 1994–1995. The first pilgrimage of the year takes place in Vidice every year; during the pilgrimage celebrations in 2023, a Mass was held in the Church of St. Apollonia.

Landscape and Trails

Vidice lies in a hollow around the source area of the Slatina stream. The municipality includes the predominantly forested Sedmihoří Nature Park. It consists of a hollow surrounded to the south, west and north by a ring of 11 peaks; the highest is Racovský vrch at 619 m.

The Sedmihoří educational trail runs through the municipality and has 12 information panels. A marked yellow hiking trail also passes through the municipality, heading towards Kakov via Racovský vrch to Mezholezy. For cyclists, the marked Cycle Route 2242 runs via Bernartice, Sychrov and Vidice, continuing towards Route 2241.
