Rovná: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Rovná lies in a relatively flat valley of the Jelenka River. A green-marked hiking trail runs through the village; a hiking route that passes through Rovná is 18.5 kilometres long.

Rovná is a destination for visitors who want to discover the beauty and traditions of the Czech countryside. Mount Úliště [Javor - Loučany] is located nearby. The mountains Jezvinec, Můstek and Lovečná are situated in the vicinity of Rovná. The Bayerwald-Tierpark Lohberg zoo is located in the wider regional area around Rovná.

Culture and history

Rovná was first mentioned in writing in 1379 under the name “Rowna”. The historical forms of the name “Ruwna”, “Růvná” and “Růvno” are also documented; “Růvná” remains a local name for Rovná to this day.

Rovná is a natural part of the Strážovsko landscape. The historic centre of Strážov has been designated an urban conservation area since 2003.

Dvorecký Mill stands on the site of a former fortress.

Road III/1712 branches off Road II/171 and leads to Rovná.
