In Podolí, historic buildings, signposted paths, cycling routes and horse-riding opportunities come together. At Ranč Podolí, there is a covered riding arena with a sand surface, jumping obstacles measuring 20 × 40 metres and six horse stalls. Seasonal riding camps, as well as riding training courses and lessons, are also held there.
Culture and history
In the vicinity of Podolí, the Church of Saint Bartholomew was built around 1370 in the Gothic style. In the same area, at an altitude of 689 metres, it originally served as the parish church of the Podolí settlement. Podolí Castle is a small, single-storey Baroque building.
The Bartoloměj hiking trail in the vicinity of Podolí has five stations with information boards in Czech and German. Another hiking trail leads from the church in Běšiny via the former settlement of Machov to Mount Bartoloměj.
Cycling
The cycling excursion from Klatovy to Mlázovy passes through Podolí and runs from Eurocamp Běšiny via cycle route 2036 to Podolí. After Podolí, the cycling excursion from Klatovy to Velhartice follows cycle route 2086 towards Tajanov. On this cycling excursion, there is a place to stop and get refreshments at a Western ranch in Podolí.
