Záluží: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

History

The early history of Záluží is closely connected with Hrádek Castle.

Hrádek was probably a very old fortified settlement and was already described as abandoned at the beginning of the 14th century. The site of Hrádek can be reached via a path branching off east of the Záluží–Osek road.

Landscape

Záluží stretches along the Stroupinský potok in a valley between Cerhovice and Hořovice. The Stroupinský potok is a left-bank tributary of the Červený potok, has a drainage basin of 108.515 km², and flows into the Červený potok below Bavoryně.

Local life

The centre of the village is home to the sports complex of Tělovýchovná jednota Záluží, which is open to the public. Traditional nohejbal tournaments are held there.

Winners' Cup is an annual competition in fire sports for youth and veterans' teams, with a tradition dating back to 2000. The three-player nohejbal tournament in Záluží reached its 50th edition in 2026 and is held on two sand courts.

Záluží has a COOP store at Záluží 45. Payment there is possible using electronic food vouchers and a payment terminal.

There are three bus stops for local transport: u Kovárny, V Brance and u Transformátoru. For a connection to Hořovice, a final departure at 7:30 p.m. is listed.
