In the northern part of Trubín lies the 4.12-hectare Trubínský vrch Nature Monument. It contains a typical and well-preserved rock steppe on diabase with a species-rich flora and fauna; at the same time, Trubínský vrch is considered one of the best exposures of volcanic rocks in the Komárov Complex. The area is home to the critically endangered stiff garlic and the Czech pasqueflower.
Landscape
The summit and southern slope of Trubínský vrch consist of basalt (diabase), which belongs to the Ordovician volcanic complex of Komárov. The western part of Trubín lies within the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area. Trubín is also located within the Barrandian National Geopark.
Orientation
Trubínský vrch lies approximately 300 m northwest of Trubín on the steep southern slope of the Kazatelna hill. A walkable hiking trail leads from the road to Trubínský vrch. Public access to Trubínský vrch is subject to the approval of AOPK ČR; access to the protected area is likewise subject to this approval.
Culture
Trubín is home to the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk. A proto-Eneolithic ditched enclosure with passages was also discovered here.
Events
The Pálení čarodějnic festival is traditionally held in Trubín on a recurring basis. Májová zábava will take place on 16 May 2026 from 8 p.m. at Trubínská stodola in Trubín as a dance, disco and rock event.
