Culture

In the Budenice district of Jarpice stands the important pilgrimage church Kostel sv. Isidora, built between 1680 and 1682 and featuring valuable sculptural decoration. The single-nave, oriented building has an oval central space on a Greek cross plan. Its early Baroque grand portal with a volute gable is complemented by sculptures by J. J. Bendl. On the village green in Jarpice there is also the Kaple sv. Isidora on the road to Horní Kamenice; it has been listed as a cultural monument since 1958.

The Budenice district is also home to the Kinsky burial chapel complex, a remarkably valuable funerary work of architecture by the Viennese architect Heinrich Koch. At the center of the complex stands a chapel on a cross-shaped plan, crowned by a dome at the crossing. The protected Kinsky burial chapel complex includes an enclosing wall with two gates, a statue of an angel, an allegorical female statue, a park, and the associated plots of land.

A smaller sacral building is the Kaple sv. Jana Nepomuckého in Jarpice. The small Baroque central-plan building dates from around the 18th century and stands in a meadow on the road to Vyšínek.

The Sýpka adds a secular monument: the two-storey stone granary is Renaissance in origin and is registered as an immovable cultural monument. Baroque wooden structures have been preserved inside; on parts of the façades, historical layers of plaster with Renaissance sgraffiti and Baroque plasterwork are still present.

The architectural forms in Jarpice emphasize different features: Kostel sv. Isidora combines an oval central space with an early Baroque portal, while the Kinsky complex brings together a cross-shaped chapel with a dome, wall, gates, sculptures, and park. The Kaple sv. Jana Nepomuckého contrasts with these as a small Baroque central-plan building. Finally, the Sýpka adds a two-storey secular building in which Renaissance and Baroque traces have been preserved side by side.

Landscape

Jarpice lies in a depression through which the Vranský and Pálečský streams flow. Steeper slopes forming its boundaries give this landscape a distinctive frame.

South of the settlement of Jarpice, two lime trees considered natural monuments stand in a field. Along the road at the southeastern boundary of the Jarpice cadastral area, there is also an avenue of chestnut trees.
