Železná: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Železná is situated in a hilly landscape. The first mention of the village dates back to 1292. The historical mining of iron ore is also part of Železná’s history and gave the village its name.

History

The parish church was extensively renovated in 1681 and fully converted to the Baroque style in 1777. The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was first mentioned in the mid-14th century and was a spiritual center for the surrounding area. Around the turn of the 17th to the 18th century, a one-class elementary school was established at the parish; it is first mentioned in 1711.
