In 2010, Ojkanje was added to the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding.
The Church of Sv. Nikola Tavelića was consecrated in 1978. The parish church of Sv. Nikola Tavelića in Lišane Ostrovičke was built between 1975 and 1977 according to plans by the architect Vinko Galić as a votive shrine. The church also contains a copy of a painting that was exhibited in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. The copy was returned to its original pre-war location in the church.
