In Čađavica, the parish church of Saint Peter the Apostle is documented as a cultural monument and is described as the oldest church in this part of Slavonia. It was first recorded in 1334 under the name “ecclesia sancti Martini de Zagocha”.

Čađavica also has an established tradition of horse breeding. The Čađavica stud farm began breeding Arabian horses in 1995 and also keeps Croatian Coldbloods, which represent a link to older rural working traditions.

Nature

The “Dravi u zagrljaj” educational trail runs nearby for approximately 2 km from the Dravska priča visitor centre to the Drava River. It passes streams, meadows and woodland and ends at a rest area on the riverbank with a birdwatching platform. Around twenty information boards explain the local biodiversity as well as its flora and fauna.
