The Jadro Promenade and Jadro Beach are one kilometre long. Jadro Beach has four showers, three changing rooms and two beach bars: Maritimo is located on the sandy section of the beach, while Na Mul is on the pebbly section.
Bowa Beach Bar is located in Žitna Bay; the beach there is one of the most visited beaches on the island of Vir. From there, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the island of Pag and the Velebit Mountains.
At Konoba Kunjka in Vir, fresh fish, mussels and other Mediterranean specialities are served. The seafood dishes are prepared from the catch of their own boats and cooked according to traditional recipes.

Nature
The paths on Vir can be used as walking and trekking trails on the slopes of the island’s highest peaks, Barbenjak and Bandira; they are criss-crossed by attractive, scenic firebreak roads.
The Virski prsten is a cycling route that encircles the western and northern parts of Vir. In practice, the entire island can be crossed by bicycle.
Culture and History
The Crkva sv. Ivana Krstitelja dates from the 13th or 14th century. The Romanesque ecclesiastical building has a rectangular floor plan and a semicircular apse. It was the parish church until the present parish church of St George was built; today, the church is used as a cemetery church.
The Venetian fortress of Kaštelina is located in the Kozjak area and was probably built at the beginning of the 16th century.
In the western part of the island, in the Torovi area, stands Villa Lanterna, a historic lighthouse built in 1881. It is considered the first transformed historic lighthouse and a monument of the zero category.
At the archaeological site in the settlement of Smratina is the unique discovery of two churches in one: a Late Antique church from the 6th century and a medieval church from the 12th century.
The present parish church of St George was built in 1845.
